Already have a Matterport scan? What else can you do with it?

Matterport’s own schematic floor plans provide a quick visual representation of a property’s layout. They are useful for giving an overview of the space, but they aren’t necessarily the finished plan a property professional needs. Fourlabs can take the information captured in a Matterport scan and use it to create a bespoke CAD floor plan.

Why consistent branding matters more than ever in property marketing

As more marketing activities are outsourced, businesses often find themselves working with different suppliers for photography, floor plans, videography, virtual tours, social content and design. While each supplier may produce excellent work individually, the end result can sometimes feel disconnected…

Different colour palettes. Different logo placement. Different graphic styles. Different levels of quality. And, over time, these inconsistencies can weaken the professional image you have worked hard to build.

Which floor plan do you actually need?

Choosing the right type can speed up projects, reduce unnecessary costs and increase the chances of projects or property sales moving forward. Choosing the wrong type? Yes you can guess the way that could go!

Landlord, are you compliant with selective licensing?

It’s time for more change in housing legislation, this time over licensing. The Housing Act 2004 gives all local councils the option to introduce the need for landlords to apply for a license to let a property on the private rental market, either when rented to a single household (such as one family) or two unrelated sharers (like two friends living together). Licenses come with conditions that relate to how the property can be used by the tenants, and additionally how it can be managed by the landlord. Selective licensing was Part III of the Housing Act and came into force in 2006, but this year the net is widening, and more and more councils are bringing in selective licensing in order to improve the private rental market. If you’re not compliant, you should act now or be faced with prosecution or a hefty fine.
